Uche Uwaleke is presently the Commissioner of Finance, Imo State, Nigeria. Until his appointment Prof. Uche is the Chief Economist/Director of Research at the Securities and Exchange Commissions on secondment from Nasarawa State University. He is the first Professor of Capital Market in Nigeria.
Prior to joining Nasarawa State University as a pioneer staff in the faculty of Administration, he had worked as an Investment Banker with Lombard Assets Management Limited as the Head of Research and Private Banking.
A multi-disciplinary Scholar and a thorough-bred Professional, he holds a B.Sc degree in Accounting, an M.Sc in Economics (specializing in Finance) and a PhD in Finance. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Chartered Banker and a Chartered Stockbroker. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, the Institute of Capital Market Registrars and the Nigerian Economic Society.
His community services comprise engagements by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Inland Revenue Service and the German Technical Cooperation.
Professor Uwaleke is on the Editorial Board of the Nigerian Journal of Securities Markets, a publication of SEC Nigeria and also a member of the Advisory Council of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He sits on the Board of Peace Capital Market Limited as Non Executive Director.
He has authored/co-authored over 60 articles in referred local and international journals including 10 books among which are ‘’Contemporary Issues in Capital Market Studies’’ and ‘’An Insight into the Nigerian Capital Market’’. He regularly features on national Radio and Television talk shows on finance and the economy.

Chief Chris O. Okunowo is the President/Chairman of Council of the Institute of Directors Nigeria. He is a seasoned lawyer with over thirty six years’ experience in both legal practice and the corporate world. He is also the Chairman/CEO of Chris-Kenneth Limited, Mastersound Entertainment (Nig.) Limited, Goodwill Investments Limited, Energycorp Resources (Nig.) Ltd., and Cathedral (West Africa) Ltd, amongst others. He was one of the Founders/Promoters of the defunct Midas Merchant Bank Limited, Lagos and City Trust Merchant Bank Limited, a legacy Bank of Union Bank of Nigeria, and also the Chairman of GO FORTE Foundation, an NGO for the Restoration of the Environment.
An avid sportsman with keen interest in soccer, athletics and cricket with accompanied laurels to his name, his unflinching commitment to the propagation of human values led him to acquire membership of notable associations and clubs such as Metropolitan Club, Ikoyi Club, Yoruba Tennis Club and Lagos Motor Boat Club. Mr. Olusola S. Ephraim – Oluwanuga, mni is a lawyer of 33 years standing at the Nigerian Bar. He is the Head of Chambers of O.S Ephraim-Oluwanuga & Co (Legal Practitioners, Arbitrators & Notaries Public. Oluwanuga is a Chartered Arbitrator of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), the highest gold status of the institute. He is a Fellow of the Society of Construction Industry Arbitrators (2018), a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and also a member of the Governing Council of the Institute of Directors. A member of faculty and tutor of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the Institute of Directors among others.
Oluwanuga is currently serving as an Independent director of the NPF Pensions Ltd. This is a pension fund administrator handling the contributory pension’s scheme of the Nigerian Police Force. He is a member Association of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (AANI), having been a participant at the Senior executive course 31 at National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos in 2009. Oluwanuga was one of the foundation Honorable Members (Federal Commissioner/ Judge) of the Investments and Securities Tribunal (IST) between 2002 and 2007 (one term tenure).
He authored a book widely used in the capital market titled “Audit Committee and Corporate Governance in Nigeria Public Quoted Companies”.
He is an investor protection expert having led in the late 2000, minority investors in the South West States of Nigeria. He has served as Chairman and Audit Committee member of some companies in the Oil& Gas, Manufacturing, Banking and Property Sectors of the economy. He has served as in-house resource persons to a number of departments at the Securities and Exchange Commission and Publicly-quoted companies. He has handled, trained and lead discussion on issues of Corporate Governance involving several directors of Large, Small and Medium scale companies. In recognition of his work in corporate governance he was appointed 2008 International Scholar of International Corporate Governance Network ICGN (UK) 2008.

Ayodeji Balogun currently serves as the Country Manager for AFEX Commodities Exchange Limited (AFEX Nigeria) and the Business Lead for Africa Exchange Holdings Limited in West Africa, where he is pioneering the development of a private sector led commodities exchange and warehouse receipt system. He doubles as the Product Development Manager, leading value chain development in the Agriculture Sector in Africa.
He is an MBA graduate of the Lagos Business School and has a first degree in Mechanical Engineering. Before this,Ayodeji grew up as an entrepreneur, starting commodity trade in his teenage years, and managing his family owned commodities trading business with turnover in excess of USD15 million.
He worked as an associate at Doreo Partners where he contributed to the development of Nigeria’s Agriculture Transformation Plan (in 2011) and the design of Doreo’s flagship impact investment – Babangona – a farm franchise out-grower scheme currently with 20,000 farmer membership and has witnessed farmers yield triple and income levels increase by over 200%.
Before joining AFEX, Ayodeji supported several private sector enabling policy initiatives at the Tony Elumelu Foundation including designing the Nigerian National Competitiveness Council and drafting a bill to regulate the non-profit sector in Nigeria.

Dr. Aliyu Dahiru Muhammad received his Masters and Ph.D in Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia. His areas of interest include Islamic Economics and Finance, Zakat Waqf, Microfinance and poverty reduction. He received the Faculty of Economics Best Student Award for Doctor of Economics in November, 2013. Currently, Dr. Aliyu lectures and researches at the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, BUK, Nigeria. He published over 20 articles in reputable national and International journals and presented papers on Islamic finance and economics in many countries. He received a gold medal at the “IIUM Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition 2013″ for his thesis entitled “Challenges of Microfinance and the Prospects of Developing and Introducing an Islamic Micro-Investment Model in Nigeria”.
